A stoppage time equaliser from Leon Legge helped Brentford cap a remarkable come back as they drew 3-3 with MK Dons at Griffin Park on Saturday.
Having looked down and out going into half time three goals down, the Bees dragged themselves back into the game courtesy of a double from Gary Alexander and for the second game in a row were thankful for Legge's prowess in the box as he headed home from close range.
The Bees were torn apart in the opening minutes as MK Dons quickly established a two goal lead. Dean Bowditch cut in from the right and found Darren Potter, who gave Richard Lee no chance with a deflected finish after only four minutes.
Two minutes later Brentford's defence allowed the ball to bounce in the box and Angelo Balanta pounced to lash it past Lee.
Brentford barely threatened in the first half. Alexander was played through by Bean but snatched at his shot early and fired wide, while some neat build up play ended with Legge heading wide of the right hand post, before Alexander again scuffed a shot wide from the edge of the box.
Former Bee Charlie MacDonald extended MK Dons' lead just before the break, firing home from inside the six yard box.
Brentford's great revival started midway through the second half when Sam Saunders' cross was headed back across goal by substitute Clayton Donaldson and bundled home by Alexander.
Ten minutes later after Balanta was penalised for hand ball inside the box, Alexander smashed the ball down the middle from the penalty spot.
By now Brentford were completely bossing the game and it was almost inevitable when a Saunders free kick was eventually headed home by Legge after his first effort hit the crossbar.
