Met Police boss Jimmy Cooper has warned his players their clash with Kingstonian may be their last for the club if they lose.

Fifth-placed Blues host Kingstonian in the clash of the Ryman Premier League tomorrow on the back of a run of results that has seen them win just two of their past 10 games.

They crashed 2-1 at struggling Bury Town on Saturday before delivering an improved performance in a 2-1 defeat at play-off rivals Hendon on Monday.

A win at Imber Court would set Cooper’s men up for a run at cementing a play-off berth and could deal a near fatal blow to Kingstonian’s own promotion hopes.

“There are only two sides lower than us in the form table,” said Cooper.

“Saturday’s performance was an absolute disgrace to the football club. To a man they should have been embarrassed by that.

“We might have turned a corner on Monday, because we deserved something from that game.

“The lads know they have to prove themselves worthy of this club.

“If they do not buck their ideas up then they know they will not be coming back here. They know that.”

He added: “We have got one of the lowest budgets in the league, but we are where we deserve to be.

“We have been there so long it will be a massive disappointment to miss out.”
