Neal Ardley admitted he will be performing a finely-balanced juggling act as AFC Wimbledon enter a phase of four games in 11 days.

The fun starts tonight at Bristol City in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy area quarter-final, ahead of this weekend's visit to the CRRS of Dagenham & Redbridge.

After last weekend's FA Cup draw at York City, the sides go head to head again on November 18, and Dons then end their hectic schedule at Oxford United.

One man who will not be making the trip to Bristol City is Andy Frampton, who injured his ankle in the game at York City.

Ardley said: "Andy turned the same ankle he broke and we were a little concerned about him, but it is a little bit better than we had first feared.

"We'll have more of a diagnosis on Thursday, but he will miss Bristol."

Bristol City top League One and are unbeaten in 16 league games under Steve Cotterill.

He added: "It's a tough one, we want to have a go against a very good team, and we're certainly not going to Bristol to lay down.

"We'll have to approach the game in a different way to normal, but we do know if we sit back they could turn us over.

"We'll be using six or seven of the guys who played at the weekend, but we'll need the whole squad because come the Daggers game and York replay, they'll be very tired."

Should Dons get past York next week, they face a trip to League Two rivals Wycombe Wanderers in the second round proper - a team that turned them over 2-0 last month.

Ardley said: "It's not a draw you want. I think I must have trodden on a black cat at some point because I think I've only been drawn at home in a cup competition since I've been here.

"And we know how good Wycombe are, but we do need to get past York first."
