AFC Wimbledon defender Andy Frampton will miss up to two months of the season after breaking his ankle in training.

The 34-year-old centre-half picked up the injury in La Manga and an x-ray this morning (Friday) comfirmed boss Neal Ardley's worst fears.

Ardley told the club's website: "Andy could be out for between six and eight weeks. It was a freak training ground incident and no one was to blame for it.

"We are obviously gutted and disappointed after hearing the z-ray result. We will be looking to bring someone else in.”
