Brentford boss Uwe Rosler is convinced that all roads lead to automatic promotion this weekend in the winner-takes-all race for the Championship.

The Bees know they need to beat Doncaster Rovers on Saturday to leapfrog the visitors into second place and start the automatic promotion party.

Anything less than three points will leave Rosler’s men with the lottery of the play-offs, but in front of a sell-out Griffin Park crowd, the German manager is positive the day of reckoning will end in glory for the red and white of the Bees.

Rosler said: “Last weekend’s draw at Hartlepool was surprising because our away form had been so good, but it sets us up perfectly for Saturday.

“Having to beat Doncaster is better than not having to lose. The character of our side means we are at our best when we have a right go.

Penny for your thoughts: Bees boss Uwe Rosler is in confident mood ahead of Doncaster clash

“We are in good shape as we did not have a midweek game. Everyone is looking lively and intense in training, and having a week to prepare suits us better.”

Doncaster’s recent form, including a 1-0 defeat at home to Notts County on Saturday, has knocked them off the top of League One – but while the Bees’ home form is the best in the league, Doncaster have the best away record.

Rosler said: “Doncaster were top for a long time and will be anxious now having lost it. They are hanging on for automatic promotion.

“And then there is us – no one gave us a chance before the season started.

“Given our record at Griffin Park, to have a home game to win promotion is a great scenario, and we have to take advantage of that.

“Over the course of the year, the fans have played a pivotal role in us having the best home record in the league.

“They want to see us going out and having a go at it. They want to see enthusiasm, bravery and no fear.

“But they are football smart too. They understand what we are as a team – where our strengths lie and what our weaknesses are.

“I know they will be behind us from the first to the last second.”

Rosler has a full squad available to choose from, apart from the suspended Tony Craig.
