Staines & Laleham lost by four wickets to visitors Thames Ditton on Saturday in a rain-affected clash.
The Staines opening bowlers, Tim Bloomfield and Sammy Webber, started well, restricting the Ditton openers.
Sean Archer made the vital breakthrough, dismissing opener Turnbull.
With the match reduced in overs Ditton decided to declare with 199 on the board for the loss of six wickets, the pick of the Staines attack being Webber with figures of 3-55.
Ditton seamer Koortzen then removed the Staines top order. The hosts were reeling at 28-4 when Webber began an onslaught for which Ditton had no answer, eventually making 110. The final wicket fell with the score on 169.
Staines visit Cobham next.
