Twickenham’s Clint McCabe (pictured below right) could only watch as Ealing’s batsmen took charge on the Green to cement their place at the top of the Middlesex County League Premier Division on Saturday.
Patrick Fallis (78), Ned Eckersley (75), David Holt (77*) and Huw Jones (51*) were the tormentors in chief as the visitors posted 310.
Ts opener Tom Guy (30) provided the only resistence as stand-in skipper JP Cronje’s men slumped to 104 all out with league leaders Ealing’s Sameer Patel claiming 6-43.
Second-placed Teddington kept up the pressure at the top with a 122-run win over Eastcote at Bushy Park.
Josh Lalor’s sparkling 74 and Andrew Clarke’s 59 put them on their way to 252 for eight, despite Jivan Lotay taking 7-102 for the visitors.
Lalor (3-21) then did the damage at the top of the order to allow Duncan Wood, Elliott Hannah and David Keightly the chance to mop up the rest in a comprehensive win.
Richmond lost by four wickets at Hampstead to remain in the bottom two, while in Division Three Barnes saw their trip to Bessborough abandoned.
