Twickenham captain Carlos Nunes reacted to Saturday's chastening defeat to neighbours Teddington by calling his men in for a fitness boot camp this week.
Teddington triumphed by a whopping 195 runs on the Green on Saturday to leap frog their hosts in the Middlesex County League Premier Division.
Nunes men have slipped back to fifth with Teddington now fourth and Richmond sixth, as the race to be the borough's top team enters the final four games.
Teddington, who were held to a draw in the corresponding fixture earlier in the season, made their superiority count as they smashed 327-8 declared at the weekend, with James Keightley taking a particular liking to the hosts' bowling as he hit 110.
Twickenham, whose only highlight in the day was 4-57 from Clint McCabe, were soon 32-4 in reply before surrendering meekly, with Charlie Hopkins (3-22) and Sam Agarwal (4-20) their chief executioners.
It was the nature of the defeat that forced Nunes' angry response, which saw him replace net practise with the 'punishment' of fitness training on Thursday night.

League leaders Hampstead and second-placed Ealing seem set to battle it out for the title, after the former put Richmond to the sword at Old Deer Park at the weekend.
Richmond opening bowlers Steve Stacey (3-33) and Jack Porter (4-73) helped bowl the visitors out for 220, but the division's pace setters responded in the style of future champions as they bounced back from defeat to Twickenham the previous week.
Skipper Steve Clark claimed figures of 8-37 to dismiss the visitors for 160, despite lower order resistance from Porter (56) and Joe Smith (54).
Richmond captain Andrew Lowe's men, who travel to Teddington in another derby clash this week, are still nervously looking over their shoulders with only 10 points between themselves and the drop zone.
Meanwhile, Twickenham will look to close the gap as they travel to league whipping boys Eastcote.
