Richmond's boost for bowls

Sheen Common Bowls Club were winners of a competition of four bowls clubs in the borough which have been refurbished by Richmond Council ahead of the new season.

Andy Sutch, chariman of Sport Richmond, said: “We are pleased to see all for clubs that play on local authority greens beginning the season with such improved facilities.

"The clubs have worked with council officers to bring this project to fruition after four years.”

The event was attended by Mayor of Richmond David Marlow.
