More than 400 athletes took to the road, saddle and swimming pool last weekend for the Trinity triathlon in Croydon.
There were six age groups, from six to 19 years old, competing on Sunday cheered on by friends and family in the fourth staging of Trinty School’s show-piece event.
Race director Rob Brookman said: “It was a fantastic day. Congratulations to all the young people who took part, in particular to the first timers.
“Their determination and enthusiasm are inspiring for all of us and this is what this Olympic legacy event is all about.
“We are grateful to the volunteers and to TFL for allowing the closure of Addiscombe Road for the cycling.”
Lord Sebastian Coe, chairman of the British Olympic Association and legacy ambassador for the Games, said: “Congratulations to Trinity School and Crystal Palace Triathlon Club for building this great Olympic legacy event which is being enjoyed by so many of you.
"Your hard work and determination make you role models not only among your peers but for all other generations as well.”
