Streatham Redskins face a big game in their fight to avoid relegation from English National Ice Hockey South One this Saturday.
Barry Spours’ side go to Bracknell Hornets desperate to close the eight-point gap between them and their opponents, who sit third bottom – above the automatic relegation and relegation play-off spots.
Defeat would leave Redskins, who also host Bristol Pitbulls on Sunday, with a mountain to climb if they are to escape the drop zone.
Their cause was not helped last weekend as they conceded 20 goals in defeat to Chelmsford Chieftains and Invicta Dynamos – a match they were confident of victory in.
Warren Rost scored their only goal against Chelmsford on Saturday but they were already losing 6-0 at the time and went on to lose 7-1.
Against Invicta, they were depleted of personnel due to the snow and were thumped 13-5.
Stevie Balmer scored twice and Chris Rasmussen, Jerry Pavlus and Russ Stevens also netted in a one-sided affair.
Meanwhile, the club is to appear in an advert for Ladbrokes in Sweden, entitled From England With Love, having filmed their scenes last week.
