Herne Hill Harriers were in dominant form at the East Surrey League relays on Saturday – winning the men’s team race as well as the U17, U15 and U13 team races.
Senior middle-distance athlete Michael Dyer clocked the fastest time of the day as he finished the 1.95 mile course in nine minutes, 31 seconds.
He was the second leg runner for Harriers having taken over from Vic Maughn (10:17) before handing to Rob Creed (10:01) and Mohammed Ismail (10:36), who led the team home 17 seconds ahead of Epsom & Ewell Harriers.
Katie Snowden broke the U20 women’s course record with a time of 10:45.
On Sunday, Harriers took the second team prize at the Chichester Priory 10k.
Chris Busaileh missed his personal best by three seconds to come eighth in 30:20, but Mike Cummings (19th in 31:56) and Ben Paviour (21st in 31:59) did run new fastest times.
Sarwar Khan in 29th, John Kettle in 36th and Paul Shiel in 60th also claimed new personal best times.
