There were no banana skins at Church Road as Kingstonian set up a lucrative Surrey Senior Cup Final against old foes and Conference high-flyers Woking.

Two first half goals ensured the result, and the Leafe, without experienced striker Steve Milton just could not penetrate the Ks defence, with skipper Terry Evans and partner Matt Crossley outstanding.

Ks manager Geoff Chapple was faced with a series of first team players suspended or ineligible so he included many youngsters in the squad, including a debut for James Taylor who showed a maturity far beyond his years.

The home side nearly took the lead when Duncan Algar let loose a fierce shot from the edge of the area that Jerome John did well to push away. After that Ks settled and dominated. A high Dean Hooper cross was punched away by Leafe keeper Danny Rose, but Evans headed back into his goalmouth and the keeper did well to scoop it away.

After seven minutes Ks took the lead when from a near post Colin Luckett corner Kevin Rattray shook off his marker to head home.

It started a period of intense pressure by Ks as Taylor blasted in another after nine minutes only to see it rebound off David Leworthy.

After 12 minutes a Leworthy cross fell to an unmarked Taylor deep in the Leafe box but he blasted over.

On 33 minutes a high cross byt Taylor fell to Leworthy and his header was brilliantly tipped away by Rose. A minute later though Ks sealed the game - a long run from Eddie Akuamoah fell to Leworthy and although his first drive was again brilliantly blocked by Rose, Leworthy headed home the loose ball.

The final against Woking is on April 22 at Sutton United's Gander Green ground.

Ks increased their lead at the top of the Ryman Premiership with a 1-0 victory over title rivals Boreham Wood, away, on Saturday.
