The Active Kingston Sports Awards 2009 were a huge success, as outstanding achievement in the borough was celebrated at Chessington Community College.
Andrew and Michael Freeman (pictured with international athlete Mike Skinner) won awards having excelled for Great Britain in trampolining.
Other winners included wheelchair racer Jack Binstead and Special Olympics star Jonathan Frett.
WINNERS LONDON YOUTH GAMES ARCHERY TEAM: Won the St George’s Trophy for winning team gold at this year’s London Youth Games.
JONATHAN FRETT: Named senior disabled sports achiever of the year. Jonathan travelled to Idaho in January this year as part of the Special Olympics Great Britain Ski Squad.
ANDREW & MICHAEL FREEMAN: Winners of Junior National Athlete Award & The Jeremy Jellinek Award. Recognised for their achievements of representing Great Britain in trampolining and for their work at Kingston Trampoline Academy.
JACK BINSTEAD: Winner of The Kingston school sports partnership sports personality award. Jack won gold in the 100m wheelchair race and silver in the 200m wheelchair race at the London Youth Games.
