Brentford boss Dean Smith pointed the finger at his players’ decision making after a fourth consecutive Championship defeat.
Shane Duffy’s late goal sealed a 1-0 win for Blackburn Rovers at Griffin Park on Saturday.
It leaves the Bees with just one win in nine games and six points off the dropzone ahead of the international break.
Smith said: “I didn't think there was much in the game so to lose it like that so late on is hard to take.
"I wanted us to be hard to beat and I thought we were for the most part.
“But we didn't work the keeper enough and our decision making wasn't quite right when it mattered.”
The Bees return to action on April 2 at Nottingham Forest.
