England captain Chris Robshaw has warned fans they face an emotional ride on Rugby World Cup's opening day at Twickenham stadium.

Robshaw will lead his country for the 39th time when his side take on Fiji at rugby HQ, equalling the total of England's RWC 2003-winning captain Martin Johnson.

Victory would set head coach Stuart Lancaster's men up nicely for Pool A clashes to come with Wales Australia and Uruguay.

"The boys are looking hungry and they are as excited as everyone around the country," he said this week.

"It has been a long journey, so to be here now and to see what is means for everyone around the country, it is an incredible honour."

He added: "There are a lot of good teams in the pool, but all our attention is on Fiji.

"It is going to be an emotional rollercoaster, the first game with the huge amount of support behind us."
