Harlequins director of rugby Conor O’Shea will take a trip down memory lane next month knowing his men have their European Rugby Champions Cup destiny in their own hands.

Quins beat Wasps 23-16 at Adams Park in Europe last Sunday to top Pool Two ahead of back-to-back clashes with second--placed Irish giants Leinster in December.

“Leinster and Toulon are the ones who have set the benchmark in Europe in recent years,” said O’Shea after last week's success.

“It will be great at the Stoop and going over to the Aviva will be fantastic.

“I think I scored Leinster's first try in Europe in a game against Milan in Italy and it is going to be really nice going back.

He added: “That was our best performance by a long stretch. We had so much dominance for so much of the game, although we did not get the reward for our first half ambition.

“It is lovely for the players to feel good about getting back to the way we like to play.”
