Updated 8:24am Tuesday 8th July 2014 in Sport
Wandsworth are champions of London for the second year running after being crowned Balfour Beatty London Youth Games winners on Sunday.
The south London borough team collected the Jubilee Trophy from four-times Olympian Chemmy Alcott as Europe’s largest annual youth sports event drew to a climax at the National Sports Centre, Crystal Palace.
Over 100,000 young Londoners take part in the London Youth Games every year and an estimated 15,000 took part in 18 sports at finals weekend.
Wandsworth won with a record total of 1193 points, with 2012 winners Croydon in second place with 1150 and Richmond third with 1147.
The London Youth Games season began in November last year and took in 30 sports on route to Crystal Palace.
