Harlequins director of rugby Conor O'Shea reckons new signing Aseli Tikoirotuma is a perfect fit for the club.
The 27-year-old Fijian international will switch to the Stoop in August on a two-year deal at the conclusion of his current Super Rugby commitments with the Waikato Chiefs.
Quins beat a host of other clubs - from both northern and southern hemispheres - to securing the powerful back's signatuure.
Tikoirotuma has won the last two Super Rugby crowns with the Chiefs, making 33 appearances and scoring 11 tries in the process.
And O'Shea is excited to be adding a slice of that winning mentality to his squad's ranks next term.
“Aseli is one of the most exciting backs in world rugby and we’re delighted that he has signed for us," he said.
"He comes from a winning culture at the Chiefs, is equally at home on the wing or at centre and I am sure will fit seamlessly into the way we play here and add to the quality we already have.”
Tikoirotuma added: “After considering my next rugby move after some amazing years at the Chiefs, I am excited to be heading to Harlequins next season.
"I was impressed with the club’s facilities, the coaching staff and importantly the style of rugby they play.
"I look forward to settling in London with my family and really contributing to the success of Harlequins next season.”
