David Freeman of Tadworth AC secured his fourth first place finish of 2014 at Banstead Woods parkrun on Saturday in 18 minutes flat.

Freeman lead the entire way to grab his 27th first finish from 156 runs.

Meanwhile, first timer Matt Shields - all the way from North Belfast Harriers - was second, coming home in 18:23 to top the age-graded score of the day with 86.49 per cent.

Croydon Harriers David Chambers broke away from the chasing pack at the halfway stage to finish third in 18:37.

In the women’s run, parkrun junior Amelia Stiff of South London Harriers was first over the line in 21:22, with Gail Sara Levine in second in 24:08 and Lydia Hood third in 24:19.
