Sutton United striker Jamie Taylor will be sold if Eastbourne Borough make an offer the club cannot refuse.

Taylor, a summer signing from Lincoln City, has endured a stop/start first half of the season at Gander Green Lane scoring five goals in 21 appearances.

His partnership with fellow new arrival Jamie Slabber was heralded by boss Paul Doswell as the catalyst to fire United into the Skrill Premier.

However, a run of injuries and a drop in form saw Taylor sent out on loan to Eastbourne Borough last month.

The 31-year-old is due back into the United side for the visit of Gosport Borough tomorrow, but his time at Gander Green Lane could be short-lived.

Doswell said: “Jamie’s position is crystal clear, if Eastbourne want to buy him and he wants to go, that’s it.

“The loan was done to help Jamie, and we are looking forward to having him back. We won’t loan him for another day, and there is no other club we will sell him to.

“If Eastbourne come up with a decent transfer fee, which they might do, then it is Jamie’s decision.”
