Several Croydon Harriers warmed up for the upcoming Surrey County Championships with solid outings at last weekend’s parkruns.

Harvey White triumphed at Riddlesdown in 18 minutes 21 seconds to notch his fourth win at the venue - David Brown (third, 19:46) and Omar Harhara (seventh, 21:49) were also well placed in the same event.

UCL student Peter Chambers bagged his fourth victory at Banstead Woods in 17:39, while older brother David was in fifth in 18:34.

There was a runner-up finish for Jake English at Crystal Palace in 17:56 and Stevie Lawrence was 2nd female home at Lloyd Park with Neil Aikman 7th.

This weekend sees Croydon line up against the best in the county at the Surrey cross-country championships at Denbies Vineyard, while on Sunday more than 30 sprinters kick off their indoor season at Sutton Arena at the annual South London Athletic Network open meeting.
