Chaos and carnage is guaranteed tonight when Spedeworth hosts its annual Micro madness event at Wimbledon Raceway, where the final event of the night will be a classic destruction derby.

With a maximum engine size of only 1100cc allowed, the Micro madness grid will be packed full of old Renault Clios, Nissan Micras and Ford KAs, or Bubble Cars as they are affectionately known on the oval raceways.

A massive 150 cars are booked in for the event, but it is safe to say that not many will be seeing the light of day again as they will be only fit the crusher by the end.

The field is a mix of established National Banger stars such as the new world champion Lee Hughes, and local drivers including Surbiton's Luke Barkham and the ever popular Jimmy Morris from Morden.

Whilst it will be a fun evening, once the racing begins the driver’s usual competitive nature and adrenaline takes over in an all-out attempt to be victorious.

The cars that are still moving after the racing will return to be "finished off in a classic destruction derby.

It is certainly going to be a meeting not to be missed - first race starts at 5:30pm.
