Broncos prepare to make cutbacks
London Broncos chief executive Guy Mackay has admitted the club will have to make cutbacks to secure its survival.
Mackay, who has already confirmed the club will be leaving the Stoop at the end of this season, met with staff and players on Friday for detailed discussions on the club's future - with cost cutting topping the agenda.
"We have to reduce our cost base so that we can ensure the future of the club which is our priority," said Mackay.
"We are involved in ongoing discussions in relation to the 2014 season, following a detailed exploration of the options over recent months.
"Negotiations are at a sensitive stage but discussions are progressing as we go into the necessary details.”
Broncos secured a confidence boosting 20-10 win at Bradford Bulls last Sunday and can move off the foot of the Super League table should they win their final game of the campaign at Hull Kingston Rovers this afternoon.
