Doswell: "We're going all out to win games, that is how we can get into the play offs"

High praise: Tom Lovelock caught the eye with an impressive performance at Chelmsford City, despite the result SP68720
Sutton United boss Paul Doswell admitted his team were too open in the 1-0 Blue Square South defeat at Chelmsford City last Saturday.
However, he is unrepentant and vowed to continue an attacking style of football in an effort to win the points they need to gatecrash the play-offs.
Doswell said: “Chelmsford deserved to win and our keeper, Tom Lovelock, had one of the best games I’ve seen a keeper have for us, which is good for him.
“As a team we created at least five really good chances on the road, which pleases me, but to be honest the score could have been 10-5 to Chelmsford, it was that open.
“We could have shut up shop and gone for a point, but we need wins. People might say three away draws is a good three points, but we need more.
“We’ve been going for it for a month or so, and we’ll continue that until the end of the season.”
United faced Molesey last night in the Surrey Senior Cup quarter-finals, and then go to Havant & Waterlooville in the league on Saturday.
Doswell was expecting to name Simon Downer, Tom Jordan and James Folkes in the side to face Molesey.
He said: “We reached the Surrey Senior Cup final last year and had a great night – we want more of the same.”
