Leatherhead boss Richard Brady says his side’s FA Trophy clash with Bath City tomorrow [Saturday] at Fetcham Grove is a “no lose situation”.

The Tanners will be underdogs for the third round qualifier against the Blue Square South side, but a victory could lead to a meeting with a big name, such as Luton Town, of the Blue Square Premier in the first round proper.

Bath City lie10th in the Blue Square South, two levels above Leatherhead, although they have won just once on the road in seven attempts.

Brady is hoping that his side can continue their recent string of good results, which has seen them win four of their past five games, and cause an upset.

He said: “It will be a tough nut to crack, but to be honest we cannot lose, it’s a no lose situation.

"If we win, great, we’ve caused an upset. If we lose, we were the underdogs anyway.

“We are at full strength so there is competition for places, which gives me a good selection headache.”

The Tanners have already earned £8,100 from the qualifying fixtures, and a win over Bath City would swell the coffers by a further £4,000.

Brady has a full squad to choose from, and will have to decide whether to stick with young keeper Gareth Williams, who made some impressive saves on his debut in the mid-week 3-2 win over Hythe Town in Ryman League Division One South.

The Tanners, a team that was struggling for goals last month, have been ignited by some fine individual performances in recent weeks.

Youngster Sam Blackman scored a late winner against Whitstable Town in the previous round of the FA Trophy.

Tom Bradbrook, newly married, scored two wonder goals in the first half of the league encounter with Eastbourne to seal the points.

Kev Terry also scored two in that 3-2 win against Hythe Town, including a fantastic volleyed winner eight minutes from time.

The match kicks off at 3pm.
