A Y11 boy (age 15), Francis Redfern, from Hampton High learnt on Friday that he's won place at The National Youth Theatre, beating thousands of applicants nationally. He will follow in the footsteps of countless famous actors including Daniel Craig, Colin Firth and Idris Elba, Helen Mirren, Sir Ben Kingsley and Daniel Day-Lewis.
Francis is the second and youngest pupil from Hampton High to win a place at the National Theatre (last year it was 16 year old Mo Deria). At the time the school said that Mo was the first but wouldn't be the last - and they were right! Thanks to their outstanding Performing Arts Department.
