Boat Launch of Donald Miller from the slip way at River Lane, Petersham, Easter Sunday 16 April 2017 at 11.00.
It is a rare occasion for our Petersham and Ham Sea Scouts to launch a new boat. If you are around on Easter Sunday morning, please join us for the launch. All are welcome!
The boat is a light weight 7ft four oared pram style dinghy designed by Mark Edwards the boat builder at Richmond Bridge and built by his assistant Luan Qeloposhi.
Her special features are that she is a safe boat to be used by a wide range of disabled persons.
She will also be used for reaching and retrieving boats from buoy moorings. Having bow access and great stability she is ideally suited for this purpose.
Shirley Miller, widow of Donald Miller who was actively involved with the Sea Scouts for many years will launch the boat.
There will be light refreshments.
