Fans of Philip Glass will be excited to hear that an opera he wrote with composer Robert Moran is to have its UK premiere in west London at the end of the month.
The Juniper Tree will be staged at The Hammond Theatre in Hampton on March 30th and March 31st, with a top cast of performers plus director Donna Stirrup, who works with the ENO, the Royal Opera House and Glyndebourne. The conductor is Andy Langley, who conducts the Blackfriars Sinfonia and works with the Bach Choir and the London Symphony Chorus.
The opera is part of Richmond's Music and Drama Festival and is being staged by producer Helen Astrid, who is an opera singer and singing teacher.
