Scandalous poor handling of school admissions in our Borough, offering totally inadequate schools to secondary school children living in Teddington.
My daughter and others who live in our area have been offered places at failing Twickenham Academy, miles away from where they live with no direct transport, apart from the fact in our case, that it is totally unsuitable for our daughter.
In my case, our daughter, has severe learning problems, medical and social issues, despite not having a Special Needs Statement, and the admissions team has totally disregarded these as well as Waldegrave School Governors, who have written to me refusing my first choice for my daughter on the grounds that any school in the borough can support her, contrary to what every special needs co-ordinator in every school in the borough that I spoke to before I applied, including the one at Waldegrave School.
The failing Twickenham Academy has results well below national average, and the only time it has higher scores than the national average is for the wrong reasons, such as absence. I am struggling to see how it can help any child have a future, let alone a child like mine.
We pay more for houses to live here so that our children can go to a decent school, what is the point?
