The Jimmy Asher Foundation (JAF) empowers and inspires young people to fulfil their potential in areas such as Sport, Arts, Life Skills and Media.

The charity was set up in honour of Jimmy Asher Maye who sadly passed away in 2012, his work in the community inspiring a number of young men and women to be achievers, building a life which encompassed education and training and self-development and self-reflection.

The charity has a community centred approach, one which provides young people with valuable skills and opportunities, supporting them to make positive choices to further developing their path routes into Education, Training or Employment.

Their objective is to reduce social barriers, promote inclusivity, build communities, promote youth engagement within the UK and Internationally. This half-term, the Jimmy Asher Foundation is proud and excited to offer a 3-day long inclusive Radio Broadcasting Workshop to the Wandsworth youth community.

If you are aged 14 to 19, like music and/or want to shout about something in your area then this is the workshop for you. Specifically designed to not only help you learn the basic elements of radio presentation but also produce your very own 10 minute radio demo.

In just 3 short days you can become the master of your airwaves. The Jimmy Asher Foundation Radio Broadcasting Workshop starts on Monday the 13th of February 2017 and finishes Wednesday the 15th February. From 3:00pm to 6:00pm each afternoon. Venue: Roehampton Youth Club, 36 Holybourne Avenue, London, SW15 4JE. For registration and details contact Sandra Wright on 07585 316 482
