Three Certitude Community Choirs brought some festive spirit to the London Museum of Water and Steam on Thursday 15th of December, at a Carol Concert to raise money for people with learning disabilities, autism and mental health support needs throughout Ealing, Hounslow and Richmond.

The choirs, which were formed by Certitude in 2013, are made up of a mix of people supported by Certitude, as well as staff, friends and family.

They have performed at many local events in the past and gained a strong reputation in the area. Local dignitaries including Cllr Ajmer Grewal, Mayor of Hounslow, Ruth Cadbury, MP for Brentford and Isleworth and Sarah Olney, MP for Richmond took time to support the concert and chatted with the performers before and after the event over drinks and mince pies.

Sam Mason, Community Fundraiser for Certitude, is clearly proud of the choirs. He commented: “People we support want to feel part of their local communities and these choirs give everyone a fantastic opportunity to get out and about and involved in local events. We are really proud of their achievements and we were over the moon when they were invited to sing at this wonderful venue. This concert has been a wonderful showcase for their talents and it’s been lovely to see so many friends, family members and people from the local community enjoying the entertainment and offering their support.”

Certitude provides services to adults with learning disabilities, autism and mental health support needs in many areas of London. If you would like to get involved with Certitude by volunteering or fundraising visit http://www.certitude.org.uk/get-involved/ for more information.
