A local care home in Hampton is celebrating after its team member, Suzanne Stewart Jones, won the Administrator of the Year Award at a national awards ceremony.

Suzanne, who works at Laurel Dene care home on Hampton Road, was one of three finalists in her category, and beat off stiff competition from colleagues in over 100 Care UK homes nationally.

The Residential Care Services (RCS) Stars Awards recognise and reward individual and team excellence across Care UK’s RCS division. Suzanne was nominated for the RCS Stars award for her diligence, professionalism, and for going the extra mile for the residents and Care UK team at Laurel Dene.

The panel of judges found that Suzanne consistently delivers excellent customer care and goes above and beyond the call of duty to assist the team and improve resident wellbeing.

Parveen Alishah, home manager at Laurel Dene, said: “We are thrilled that Suzanne has won the Administrator of the Year in Care UK’s national RCS Stars Awards. Suzanne is an invaluable member of the team at Laurel Dene, she is incredibly passionate and always goes out of her way to help others – it’s really exciting to see her hard work being recognised.”

Speaking about winning the award, Suzanne said: “I was shocked when I heard I was a finalist in the category, so winning came as an even bigger surprise. I am so honoured to have been given this accolade, and can’t thank the wonderful Care UK team and residents at Laurel Dene enough for their continued support.”

Laurel Dene provides full time residential, nursing and dementia care, as well as short term respite care. Designed to enable residents to live enjoyable and fulfilling lives, the care home has its very own cinema and hairdressers, and there is plenty of space both indoors and out for relaxation and recreation.
