Flying high: The petition gained much support
Hundreds of homeowners have signed a petition opposing rumoured Conservative Party plans to reconsider a third runway at Heathrow.
Councillor Stephen Knight, leader of Richmond’s Liberal Democrat group, visited Westminster to show the Government the strength of residents’ feelings.
Coun Knight and Jane Dodds, the Liberal Democrat candidate in the north Richmond byelection, presented the petition to the Treasury on Wednesday, April 25.
