This was the scene after a lorry crashed in to a railway bridge in Kew on Wednesday.
Traffic was already restricted on Mortlake Road due to ongoing gas maintenance works causing the Southbound lane to be shut, when a large lorry travelling north crashed into the underside of the bridge around 12.30pm on August 31, holding up traffic in the remaining lane.
The bridge, located just past Forest Road, remained intact but police were on the scene helping the trapped lorry which appeared to be moving large slabs of construction material.
