The Twickenham Beer and Cider Festival was a great success attracting about 1,700 visitors to York House for its 17th year.
Organised by the Richmond and Hounslow branch of CAMRA (The Campaign for Real Ale), 75 real ales- many from local microbreweries- and 25 ciders and perries were on offer.
From October 19 to 21, visitors drank more than 5,000 pints of cask beer and more than 700 pints of cider and perry.
There was a tie for Beer of the Festival between local breweries Kew with “Join the Kew” and Oddly with “Lucky.”
The top cider was “Cracklin Rosie” from Celtic Marshes.
The Branch Pub of the Year was announced at the Festival as The Roebuck on Richmond Hill.
For the second year running, joint runners up were the Sussex Arms in Twickenham and the Express Tavern in Brentford.
