A Teddington man who stole £170 worth of chocolate from Waitrose has been handed a community order.
Timothy Hipperson, of Harrowdene Gardens, must wear an electronic tag for six weeks after he was convicted of nicking the sweet treats from the store in London Road, Twickenham.
The 35-year-old must also abide by a curfew, which means he must stay inside his home between 7pm and 7am.
He sentenced at Wimbledon Magistrates’ Court on September 18.
