An event on recognising hate crime and how to deal with it is coming up in Richmond.

The police borough commander and representatives from the Ministry of Justice and the Crown Prosecution Service will be attending.

Organised by the Ethnic Minorities Advocacy Group (EMAG), the event will feature discussions on a broad spectrum of hate crime including race, religion, disability, sex, and gender.

There will be interactive exercises and the audience will include the police, council officers, fire brigade, other statutory agencies, social landlords, and other third sector agencies that provide support to hate crime victims.

The event will take place on Wednesday, October 4 from 9.30am to 4pm at York House.
