A new sports and fitness programme has been launched by Richmond council for people who want to continue the activities they enjoyed this summer.

Appropriate for juniors and adults, the programme includes a variety of activities such as football, tennis, basketball, squash, street dance, karate and many more.

People who join Feel Good Fitness will also have access to more than 200 fitness classes, four pools and five state-of-the-art gyms.

Fitness programmes will involve specially tailored services for those who are new to exercise, equipped with instructor-led abdominal training sessions.

Feel Good Fitness has a wide range of membership options, including a special discount for two people joining who live at the same address.

Courses are available at Shene Sports and Fitness Centre, Hampton Sports and Fitness Centre, Whitton Sports and Fitness Centre and Teddington Sports and Fitness Centre.

Councillor David Linnette, cabinet member for sports, said: “With the summer holidays coming to an end, many of us will now be looking at some healthy options to try and burn off some of the holiday ‘excess’.

“Why not sign up for one of our sports and fitness courses or a Feel Good Fitness membership?

“They are fun, help you learn something new and will help get you get active, fit and trim this autumn.
