An outdoor complex consisting of a lido, paddling pool and grassy area for adults and children has been opened in Richmond.

Pools on the Park have opened the grounds to the public from 10am to 6pm, dependent on weather.

But be warned, as the pool reaches capacity quickly and Richmond Council has launched an advance online booking system for people to secure their spot early.

Tickets will still be available at the centre, however if the pool reaches capacity then new admissions will not be allowed.

Councillor David Linnette, cabinet member for culture, sport, and the voluntary section, said: “I think it is fair to say that the great British summertime is here and there will be more sun around the corner.

“We know that many families are keen to find activities for the whole family, so take advantage of this great facility, right on your doorstep.”

The local site also received recognition and praise from the wider community, with Tatler magazine voting the outdoor pool as one of the top six best outdoor swimming pools in London and the Handbook similarly ranking it within the top eight.
