A man was spotted flashing and touching himself inappropriately on two separate trains, police have said, after they released a CCTV image in a bid to track him down.

On January 3 at about 4pm a 51-year-old woman spotted a man exposing himself and touching himself inappropriately on a train from Queenstown Road to Mortlake. He then got off the train.

Then on February 5 at about 7.45pm a 21-year-old woman reported a man exposing himself on a train from Waterloo to the Hertfordshire town of St Margarets.

British Transport Police (BTP) said it would like to speak with the man seen in the two CCTV images the force released today. The two incidents have only recently been linked.

BTP has asked anyone who recognises the man to call 0800 40 50 40, or text information to 61016, quoting reference number 196 22/03/17.

A BTP spokesman said: “Everyone should be free to travel on the railway network without experiencing unwanted sexual behaviour.

“If you would like to report an incident, please get in touch. We take all reports of this nature extremely seriously and will investigate.”
