A "gifted businessman", who ran the London Marathon for charity and mentored young entrepreneurs, has passed away after a short illness.

Stefan Kadlubowski, who was 53, was the owner and director of the MKG3000 group, which runs a Mazda dealership in Twickenham and a Volvo service centre in Strawberry Hill.

He ran the London Marathon in 2012 for charity and was a keen fisherman and skier.

Mr Kadlubowski, who opened his first dealership in the borough in 1998, was also an official business mentor for the borough of Richmond.

He passed away on December 3.

His wife, Angie, said the family intends to continue to run the business as usual.

Anne Newton, the CEO of the Richmond Chamber of Commerce, described Mr Kadlubowski as a “gifted businessman”, saying the chamber would miss him greatly.

Ms Newton said: “On behalf of the business community, I offer Stefan's family our deepest sympathy at this very sad time.

“We knew Stefan as a gifted business man who showed kindness as a talented Chamber mentor and speaker, encouraging us all to succeed in business.

“We shall miss him greatly and wish the family and his team all the strength in the world at this very difficult time.”

Mr Kadlubowski is survived by Angie and his three sons, aged 24, 21 and 19.
