Kew Gardens has been voted the best attraction in London at the 2016 Worldwide Attraction Awards hosted by AttractionTix.co.uk.
More than 23,000 public votes were cast to decide the top attractions across 19 categories, with the Royal Botanic Gardens beating four other London attractions including the London Eye, the Shard and the Tower of London.
Other category winners named alongside Kew Gardens included the Empire State Building and Universal Studios Hollywood, with the winners decided by both public vote and a judging panel of industry experts.
Sandra Botterell, director of marketing and commercial enterprises at Kew Gardens, said: “We are delighted that Kew has won the best attraction in London at the 2016 Worldwide Attraction Awards.
“This award is testament to Kew’s determination to offer the ultimate visitor experience, encouraging people to connect with the beauty of nature, as we bring to life Kew’s world-class science and shine a light on the crucial issues facing the planet today.”
