An elderly man suffered head injuries during an alleged assault on Wednesday morning in St Margarets.
Michael Oram, 71, was taken to hospital after the alleged assault, which took place at about 9.30am in The Barons, near Twickenham Studios.
Simon Keane, 58, was arrested on suspicion of assault and appeared in Wimbledon Magistrates court on Thursday, August 18.
He did not enter a plea and will appear at Kingston Crown Court on September 14.
His bail conditions state he must have no contact with Mr Oram and must not enter The Barons.
