Former Twickenham MP Vince Cable has written an open letter urging residents to vote remain in the upcoming European Union referendum.
In the open letter, he argues it is “very much in Britain’s national interest to remain in the European Union” whilst claiming there is “overwhelming evidence supporting the case for our remaining in the EU Single Market”.
The referendum, which he has described as “crucial” is set to take place tomorrow with the latest polls suggesting it is going to be an incredibly tight vote.
Dr Cable went on to say that the vote on the EU will “shape our country for years to come”.
Residents wishing to place their vote on the EU will be able to do so at their usual polling stations between 7am and 10pm.
