A man has been arrested at Heathrow airport on suspicion of terrorism offences while trying to board a flight to Saudi Arabia.
A 29-year-old man was stopped on Monday afternoon and officers promptly searched the electronic devices he was carrying.
He was then detained under the Terrorism Act before later being arrested on suspicion “possessing information of a kind likely to be useful to a person committing or preparing an act of terrorism”.
An address in west London was searched by the Metropolitan Police’s Counter Terrorism Command.
A number of electronic devices have been seized.
