The crew of a Teddington lifeboat gave “lifesaving help” to a man who fell in the Thames last night.
Kingston police and the RNLI Teddington sped to help within minutes of the call for aid at Turk Launches pier just after 6.30pm.
MPSKingstonTnC tweeted: “Police on scene within minutes. Male is out the water, taking refuge on a boat. Officers struggling to get to him.
“Update receieved that @rnli_teddington have launched and are on route to assist.”
After the lifeboat arrived the man was reached and got safely to land to be treated by London Ambulance Service.
MPSKingstonTnC added: “Thanks for turning out so promptly. Lifesaving help as always.”
The age of the man is not known or how he came to fall in the water.
The rescue came the day after the Teddington crew had carried out a rescue exercise at Turk Launches.
