Twickenham residents will have exclusive access to discounted rugby sevens tickets as part of new measures introduced by the RFU.
The RFU announced reduced capacities, alcohol restrictions and a ban on fancy dress after major antisocial behaviour problems at the 2015 event.
And now residents will be able to buy tickets for as little as £10, or £5 for children, as rugby’s union’s ruling body continues to make amends.
Chief executive Ian Ritchie said: “We are glad to be offering the local community the chance to enjoy the thrill of the HSBC London Sevens.
“Local residents and school groups can look forward to an action-packed weekend in a friendly atmosphere, with a focus on fantastic food and running rugby, as teams prepare from Rio 2016.”
Tickets for residents can be purchased from englandrugby.com/twickenhamcommunity.
