That is how England fans must have felt on Saturday, having seen their heroes crash out of rugby's biggest party before it even really began.

But that did not stop masses of Welsh and Australians converging on Twickenham on Saturday to watch their sides, having both already qualified for the quarter-finals at England's expense, battle it out to top the pool.

The Aussies took the encounter 15-6.
