An attacker who kicked a sleeping man in the face at a Twickenham house party has been jailed.

Max Brazier, 28, of no fixed address, was sentenced to six months imprisonment after assaulting the 21-year-old victim at a flat in Staines Road at 7am on November 24.

The victim had gone to bed at 2.45am as he had work the next day but Brazier and another man stayed up, being noisy and purposely banging bottles and glasses on a table, Richmond police said.

Brazier had been asked to be quiet by the victim but would later enter his room and kick him in the face, as well as threatening further violence.

He smashed glasses and furniture in the living room before leaving the flat.

Brazier was found guilty of actual bodily harm at Kingston Crown Court on September 25

DC Kris Latham, from Richmond CID, said: "As a result of the attack by Brazier the victim sustained cuts and swelling to his face.

“Brazier attacked his victim as he was sleeping.

“Although he has now recovered from his injuries it could have been far more serious.

“We will always pursue those who commit acts of violence and I hope Brazier's sentence reassures the victim justice has been done."
